Primary Responsibilities: Whooping Crane propagation and reintroduction research. Condition whooping cranes to follow ultra-light aircraft for reintroduction of an eastern migratory flock. Act as liaison to the Eastern Whooping Crane Partnership.
Education/Training: BS in Natural Resources Management and Psychology University of Maryland 1992
Areas of Expertise/Interest: Crane behavior related to rearing birds for successful release, migration to designated breeding/summer areas, survival, and reproduction.
Accomplishments/Awards/Achievements: Various awards from USFWS, AscI Corp and USGS for successful crane fieldwork, work with interns and volunteers, and leadership.
