Primary Responsibilities: 
Serves as a member of the Patuxent Management Team, with primary responsibility for scientists working on animal population status and trends, vertebrate systematics, and coastal and wetland ecosystems. Represents the Center to Regional and Headquarters staff, client agencies, outside organizations, and the public.

Active Projects: 
Implementation of Strategic Plan for managing and upgrading the Breeding Bird Survey (BBS); management and delivery of databases (BBS, Colonial Waterbirds, National Avian Point Count and Atlas, North American Amphibian Monitoring Program); population ecology of amphibians of the northeastern United States (part of DOI Amphibian Research and Monitoring Initiative); measurement of sea level rise and evaluation of its potential impacts.
