Primary Responsibilities: Conduct field and laboratory research on the effects of environmental contaminants on wildlife, disseminate contaminants information, and evaluate the state of knowledge for selected topics within the field of contaminants research. Current projects include an assessment of the effects of the insecticide chlorfenapyr on birds, the effect of methyl mercury on reproduction in the American kestrel, maintenance of an annotated bibliography on petroleum pollution, and several technical assistance projects.
