Title Effects of overwinter feeding on the survival and well-being of white-tailed deer fawns

in the Adirondack Mountains of New York

Project Description In Phase I of this project, a number of white-tailed deer fawns on three adjacent Adirondack

properties will be uniquely marked and monitored overwinter. In addition, the well-being of fawns

affected by the feeding programs will be monitored through time. In Phase II, access to food

supplements, reproductive and agressive interactions will be monitored to assess the impact of

feeding on performance by sex and age.
