| | Title | Population dynamics of two neotropical migrants, American Redstart and |
| | Black-throated Blue Warbler, on North American breeding grounds and Jamaican |
| | wintering grounds |
| | Project Description | This project involves the analysis of long-term capture-recapture data sets from 2 study sites, |
| | Hubbard Brook Experimental Forest, N.H. (breeding ground), and a Jamaican wintering site. |
| | These data are unique in being long-term and in being from both the wintering and breeding |
| | grounds for neotropical migrant species. The collectors of these data are interested in |
| | investigating factors associated with seasonal survival rates of these species. A Ph.K candidate, |
| | stationed at Patuxent Wildlife Research Center, will investigate the influence of reporduction and |
| | territory quality on survival rates of these birds using methods developed at Patuxent Wildlife |
| | Research Center. |
