USGS contributions to wildlife resource protection and management in

the FWS Southeast Region

In the Southeast Region, the US Fish and Wildlife Service relies extensively on USGS research

and technical assistance to manage rare wildlife species and inhabitants of the National Wildlife

Refuge (NWR) System. Recent projects include "Effects of disturbance and predation on
