Box Turtle Postcard

NEPARC has created an educational post card, Don't Take Him Home - Let Box Turtles Stay Wild, to raise public awareness of box turtles and how taking individuals from the wild can negatively impact our wild turtle populations.

Box Turtle Education and Conservation Resources

NEPARC has created a document, Box Turtle Education and Conservation Resources (pdf file), which as the name suggests highlights various education and conservation resources that are focused on box turtles. If you do not have an Adobe Acrobat Reader, used to view pdf files, you can download a free copy from Adobe (off-site link).

Video - Box Turtles and Roads

NEPARC has created a video, Box Turtles and Roads, to raise awareness of the risk roads pose to box turtles and how people might safely assist a turtle in need. To view this video, RealPlayer is required. If you do not have a RealPlayer, you can download a free copy from Real (off-site link).

U. S. Geological Survey (USGS) is supporting the Northeastern Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation Home Page as part of its contribution to PARC.  It is being served by the Patuxent Wildlife Research Center, part of the USGS Eastern Region.  Information provided in this site does not necessarily have the endorsement of the USGS.
