The bottletrap as presented has been used successfully in the development of a multimetric method for the biological evaluation of wetlands by Dr. Judy Helgen, Minnesota Reference Wetlands Project, Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. Results from 1995 studies are expected to be available in December 1996.

Details, photographs, a sample of the patent papers, and instructions for the use of the device were supplied by its inventor, Don Wik.
