Global Raptor Information Network is designed to provide information on diurnal raptors (hawks, eagles, and falcons) and to facilitate communication between raptor researchers and organizations interested in the conservation of these species. Search the GRIN 52,000 records in the bibliography here. Included are 40,000 references on raptor biology and management formerly maintained by the USGS Raptor Information System.
OWL, Ornithological Worldwide Literature, used to be published as a supplement to Auk, Emu, and Ibis, but that was discontinued in 1998. These lists are now posted on the Web. OWL contains over 82,500 entries and is fully searchable.
SORA, Searchable Ornithological Research Archive Searchable full back file of 13 ornithological journals. Watch this site as new titles are added. Full text articles in PDF can be downloaded.
E.V. Komarek Fire Ecology Database, a project of the Tall Timbers Research Station, is a unique resource for locating a broad range of fire-related information. Literature on control of wildfires as well as applications of prescribed burning are included. Contains over 22,000 citations, many with abstracts. A detailed description is posted here.
USGS Publications warehouse Includes references to U.S. Geological Survey series. The database contains more than 75,500 references with links to full text docuements when available. During 2010 13,000 records for publications from the Biological Resources Discipline (BRD) were added. As of July 2010, 7,083 citations came from Patuxent.
GreenFILE a bibliographic database of information about environmental concerns. Global warming, energy conservation, natural resources, and pollution are some of the issues covered. Also, installing solar panels and recycling, hybrid cars or waste management, environmental laws, regulations and studies. It includes content going back more than 35 years and contains backfiles to volume one for Bioscience, Journal of Environmental Planning & Management , Journal of Ecology, and Conservation Biology and these backfiles are unique to GreenFILE. The database contains nearly 300,000 records, full text for certain titles and searchable sited references for more than 200 titles as well.
AGRICOLA contains the online catalog of the National Agricultural Library and the Article Citation Database of journal articles, book chapters, short reports, and reprints.

IngentaConnect (formerly UNCOVER) is a database of 4.5 million articles. It allows searching, or browse the table of contents of a journal.
Wind-Wildlife Literature Database (WILD) is a searchable bibliographic database of documents that focuses on the effects of wind energy development on wildlife. It includes the Avian Literature Database which covers the effects of wind energy development and towers, power lines and other wires, on birds. The effects on birds include mortality factors such as collision and electrocution and impacts on nesting, foraging, roosting/loafing and other forms of bird disturbances. It is a product of the National Wind Technology Center run by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, U.S. Department of Energy. Many of the citations in the database are reports from this agency, and many are linked to their PDF versions.
PLANTS Database provides a single source of standardized information about plants. PLANTS provides standardized plant names, symbols and other plant attribute information.
