North American Bird Phenology Program—Species Table

This tool is to be used for the Bird Phenology Program only. Due to many taxonomic changes, and the merging and splitting of species over time, both the scientific and common names may appear differently on the historic cards than they do on current lists. The alphabetic and numeric codes used by the project may also be different than those in use by other projects such as the Bird Banding Laboratory. Remember that transcribers should never add alphabetic or numeric codes or species names into the transcription which are not on the card being transcribed.

This is only to be used as a personal reference to learn which species you are transcribing.
