Banding Permits

For assistance with:

new banding permits, changes to existing permits, and permit renewal
permission to band endangered or threatened species
blood and feather sampling
subpermit applications and information
cannon or rocket nets, use of alpha-choralose, mist nets, and other permit restrictions
changes to banding states of authorization, species, etc.
changes to responsible individual for station permits
updating your contact information (email, phone, mailing address, title, etc.)

auxiliary marking (color bands, radios, dyes, etc.)
status codes, age and sex designations, and other biological banding data
international bands/rings

Contact your regional US FWS Migratory Bird Office, as these activities cannot be covered under a federal Bird Banding Permit.
