Bandit 4.0 Software PC (For Windows XP and higher. File size 34 mb)
Bandit 4.0 Software Mac (for OS X 10.5.7 and higher. File size 58 mb)
Before installing 4.0 - If you are currently using Bandit, it is advisable to first work through your existing bandings and recaptures, and submit all records to BBL before upgrading. Then save a final separate backup file to preserve all data, locations and settings in case they are needed later.
After installing Bandit 4.0!
Please review your banding and recapture records. You will notice that Record Status for data which was already submitted has changed from S (Submitted) to M (Modified). Filter on the modified records first, then mark them as submitted.
To do this:
1) Go to the Bands table. At the top of the screen, hit the 'Show All' button to be sure you are working with the full set.
2) Click on the 'Find' magnifying glass. In the Record Status cell, type an M for Modified. Click on the 'Perform Find' magnifying glass. Check the green pie chart to be sure you are working on just the subset 'M' rather than all of the band numbers.
3) In the narrow gray menu at the top of the screen, select Records > Mark as Submitted. The Ms should change to gray S.
4) Click on the 'Show All' button again to return to the full set of records.
If at a later date you would like to resubmit the older banding records, you can work through the yellow highlighting, filter on the modified set, and send them in.
For additional details, please refer to the Bandit User Manual.
