Banding File Record Layout

Summary File 

Banding data is normally provided as the Banding Summary File. 

Banding data is compressed to combine all banding records
with the same information banded within the same 5-day period.
A count of the number of birds is added to the record, and the
band number are truncated.

37-41      Band Number Prefix + 1st Digit Suffix
42-46      Number of Birds 

Individual Band File 

Data is sometimes provided as the Individual Banding File or IBF.
