tarsus length.
(e) Eurasian Collared-Dove and White-crowned Pigeon
require 4A short due to the short tarsus length. This band may be a better fit
for other large pigeons as well.
(f) Vultures and Condor can not be banded with
metal bands--request "Vulture" bands for reporting auxiliary marked
birds.
(g) Band hawks and owls with lock-on bands when band size is 4 or larger.
Some small owls may not require lock-on bands.
