Banding and Recovery Counts

Species listed in Alphabetic order

If you are interested in receiving banding and/or encounter records, please send a request including the following information: Banding permittee name and permit number, if applicable. If no banding permit number is available, please include:

• a complete mailing address with daytime phone number
• selection criteria for data needed (i.e. species common name, states, etc.)
• a justification for receiving data
• desired output format for data received (i.e. listing, ASCII file on diskette, or both)

If you wish to discuss your request, you may call Kathy Klimkiewicz at 301-497-5795. Once the request is received at the Bird Banding Lab, allow 3 - 6 weeks to receive the data (it usually takes less time). We will include our policy on use of the data, record layouts and any other information pertinent to using the data successfully.
